Process

• Monitor your vines regularly, noting any suspicious symptoms.
• If suspicious symptoms are found follow the process in the KVH Information Sheet: Psa-V sample collection and testing
• Fill in a lab submission form and send your sample to Hill Laboratories for testing.

Please note - Hill Laboratories carry out routine Psa testing weekly on a Wednesday only.

KVH pays for lab testing in Exclusion regions and 'Not Detected' orchards in Containment regions. Other testing may be approved by KVH on a case-by-case basis.

Once a KPIN has been confirmed Psa-V positive on any variety, KVH will not pay for any further testing on that KPIN. Growers wishing to test other varieties on the same KPIN must pay for further testing themselves.

Results

All lab results are sent to KVH, who upon receipt will notify the grower or relevant packhouse. If the result is ‘not detected’ growers should continue routine monitoring of their orchard and remain alert for any Psa-V symptoms.
