Bees and pollen

KVH is continually working with beekeepers and pollen producers to develop guidelines for hive management and pollen production systems. This work aims to mitigate the spread of Psa-V between and within productive regions and zones.  KVH has commissioned research and development on potential treatments to ensure pollen is Psa-V free and viable for application.

 

Information package on artificial pollination

The artificial pollen information package has been developed as a website tool for growers. It includes a quick view of pollen and risk of Psa-V, how to source lowest risk pollen for your orchard, whether your flowers are unsafe for harvest and what you can do with pollen you bought last year.
