A1: Some visitors to the KVH website experience difficulty in accessing and downloading linked documents. Our internet service provider advises is due to Internet Explorer uploading Version 9. If you are still having problems downloading, you may need to install the latest Adobe Reader version on your computer by the following steps:
- Go to website: http://get.adobe.com/reader
- Untick the box showing [include in your download]
- Click on the [download now] button
- See base bar – [‘this website wants to instal the following add-on: ‘Adobe DML’ from Adobe System Incorporated’]. Click on the [instal] button on right side of bar
- A security warning pops up – click [instal] button
- Leave to progress for about 2 minutes, depending on the speed of your computer – see progress bar. Ignore other messages popping up during the progress process until 100% complete shows.
- Installation is complete – click [Close Download Manager]
- On your computer – prepare for installation by closing any programme that is open (eg, pdfs, email, Word documents, Internet Explorer etc)
- Close out
- The first time you open a pdf on your computer you will be asked to ‘accept terms’ – click [ok].
