Under the National Psa-V Pest Management Plan (NPMP) KVH Protocols have been established for controlling the movement of risk items capable of spreading Psa-V.
All kiwifruit growing regions throughout New Zealand have clear movement controls in place for all plant material (including living kiwifruit plants, rootstock and budwood) as part of the on-going programme to contain the spread of Psa-V.
The controls also require that specific conditions are met where inter-regional movement is essential and has been agreed to prior to movement.
Movement controls differ across different risk items depending on the nature and level of risk they pose.
See the 'Maps and Stats' page to view the status of each region.
